Abstract

This research aims to design a portable CNC Router machine, this tool uses an HSS tool and as a cutting tool to work on the workpiece, The research method used for the design stage is to conduct a literature study and then analyze the needs of making machines, select and compare several design alternatives, select concepts, design laser modules and, design a 3 axis motion system, designing motor power and simulating the frame using the finite element method. A reliable metal cutting process in a good speed and level of precision is by using CNC machines. The problem with CNC routers that are commonly used on the market today is that there is still a lack of planning in the value of the frame model fantigue, and it is not equipped with planning for driving equipment. Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) CNC router-based machines can be used as a solution to support metal cutting systems In addition, the effective design of the construction of the workpiece support table is an important issue to ensure the operational career of the machine in the long term. In the design of the CNC router machine frame, many types of aluminum and steel materials are used. In this study, a 4x4x2.5 hollow material with a permissible voltage of 203.95 mpa was used with a safety factor.
