Abstract

Mathematics is often considered as an abstract subject, causing students to be reluctant to learn mathematics. This is exacerbated by the conventional learning model that makes students just come, sit, be quiet, take notes and go home. The cooperative learning model that makes students active, as well as the presence of games is the TGT learning model. TGT makes students happier in learning so that learning achievement increases. This study aims to determine which learning achievement is better between the TGT learning model and the conventional type, and to find out which learning achievement is good with low, medium or high anxiety levels. This type of research is a quantitative experiment with a 3 x 2 factorial design. The data analysis technique used is a two-way ANOVA test using the SPSS type 22 application. The results of this study indicate that the TGT learning model is better than student achievement given the conventional learning model. in terms of learning anxiety and mathematics learning achievement with low anxiety is better than medium and high, or moderate anxiety is better than high.
