Analisis Kesulitan Mahasiswa dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Bilangan Real terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Bilangan Real

This research aims to determine the types of students' difficulties in working on real number problems in real analysis courses and the factors that cause students' difficulties in understanding the concept of real numbers in real analysis courses. This research is qualitative research using descriptive analysis. The data collection method used in this research is documentation of UAS results from sixth semester students and interviews. The results of the research conducted show that the difficulties experienced by sixth semester students in solving real number problems include: (1) difficulty in writing concepts in real number problems and lack of understanding of the algebraic properties of real numbers, (2) difficulty in using analogues in the results proof in the problem, (3) difficulty in understanding the existence of the 0 (zero) element and the unit element in the proof. Factors that cause students to not understand the concept of real numbers and the properties of real numbers are that students are confused when faced with questions related to the concept of real numbers because they lack understanding of the use of the concept of real numbers, students tend to rush in solving real number problems so they don't write them down. the correct steps in answering questions and a lack of precision and caution when writing answers so that the answers appear to be floating without meaning.
