Abstract

The family is the smallest social layer among other layers of social society. This type of research is library research or literature study which is a single study that uses libraries to obtain normative research data. In this study the authors use the books as a source of data, especially concerning the minimum age of marriage. According to Imam Shafi'I about the minimum age of marriage, within the minimum age of marriage can occur at the age of 9 years, both women and men. According to Imam Abu Hanifah, In terms of age, the age of age for boys is 18 years. while a 17-year-old girl. According to Imam Maliki, the age benchmark in marriage is 17 years, male and female. and according to Imam Ahmad Hambal regarding the age standard in marriage, namely: the age of baligh for a boy and girl is 15 years.
