Abstract

Civil Servants are those who are educated and have a steady income, and are not underestimated by the surrounding community, can be said to have a high position in the community. However, why lately many have reported that the increase in divorce is that the perpetrators are from Civil Servants. The incident was the main attraction to be studied more deeply. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research to the object to be studied. The information of interviewees who were interviewed showed that their reasons for suing for divorce were in accordance with applicable laws. Matters that caused the divorce case among the first civil servant, the defendant could not provide a proper living for the plaintiff because the defendant worked only for himself without paying attention to the plaintiff and the household. Secondly, the defendant as a head of household cannot be used as a good example and example for the plaintiff and family because the defendant often acts rude to the plaintiff without a clear reason or reason. Third, the defendant is in love with another woman. Fourth, the defendant committed domestic violence; Fifth, the defendant spree, spending money, gambling and so on.
