Abstract

Increasing times more and more problems that occur in the community one of them in the field of inheritance where problems can arise from parents who adopt children as adopted children. Knowing that an adopted child does not get a share of the inheritance from his adoptive parents, while the adopted child is also included in a close relative who is considered a child of the adopted parent. The purpose of this study is to find out the inheritance law of adopted children in the perspective of Islamic law. This study uses a library approach and uses an applied research design. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that adopted children do not get a share of inheritance from adoptive parents because  one of the reasons for inheriting is senasab or incest. However, adopted children can get the inheritance of their adoptive parents by compulsory testament that is, 1/3 of the inheritance of their adopted parents.
