Islamic Religious Counselor related to the sakinah family is an individual who provides assistance to a person or group of people who are experiencing physical and spiritual difficulties in carrying out their duties. Its function is as a mediator, consultant, and companion to families experiencing problems in their marriage. The number of divorce cases in 2019 was 32 cases in the KUA area of Pangkah District. This figure is higher than in previous years. The objectives of this study are (1) What factors caused divorce to occur during the Covid-19 pandemic? and (2) What is the role of Islamic Religious Counselors in dealing with divorce during the Covid-19 pandemic?. Method This research is a descriptive study in the form of case studies in the field where information is obtained through direct interviews with the object of research and documentation. The results of this study were in 2019, of the 32 divorce cases, economic factors ranked first as the cause of divorce. Another cause is a third person. The rest is due to domestic violence (KDRT) and the vision and mission are not aligned. There are two excellent programs implemented to reduce the divorce rate. The first is the Bride and Groom Course (Suscatin). The second is family guidance or consultation which is integrated with activities in the village such as ta'lim assemblies, jamiyahan, and PKK. During the Covid-19 pandemic, activities will still be carried out but with limited participant capacity and in accordance with health protocols. After the program is implemented, the divorce rate can be reduced to 14 cases by the end of 2020. This can happen because of the collaboration between KUA, Religious Counselors, BP4, and the Community. It can be said that the role of Islamic Religious Counselors in minimizing divorce cases is effective.
