Abstract

In the process of learning chemistry students experience difficulty in learning due to lack of variation in learning in the material being taught to students. This study aims to determine the significant effect of the use of make a match cooperative learning models on student learning outcomes. Students are divided into small groups to look for pairs of cards they hold. The method in this study is a Quasi Experiment research with pre-test and post-test research designs. This research was conducted at Wahidiyah Kediri High School MIA class X odd semester 2019/2020 in the matter of atomic structure. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA. The sample taken in this study was class X MIA 1 as a control class and X MIA 2 as an experimental class. The data collection techniques in this study were the pre-test and post-test, and the collaboration observation sheet. Data analysis technique is done by t test. The results showed that there was an influence on student learning outcomes on the use of the make a match cooperative learning model. This is evidenced by the results of the t test that 0,000 <0.05, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected Ha is accepted, meaning that the average score of student learning outcomes in experimental class chemistry lessons is higher than the average score of student learning outcomes in class chemistry lessons control.
