This study aims to improve cognitive abilities using tree planting activities in group A children at TK Tunas Harapan Trosobo Sidoarjo. This type of research is classroom action research. The research model used was Kemmis and Mc. Taggart using three cycles. Each cycle is carried out in three meetings. The subjects of this study were 9 children in group A consisting of 4 boys and 5 girls. The object of this research is to increase cognitive abilities through playing tree planting activities. The data collection method is done through observation and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that there was an increase in children's cognitive abilities. The increase in cognitive abilities of these children can be seen based on the increased percentage of pre-action children who are in good criteria by 55%, experiencing an increase of 8% in cycle I to 63% in cycle II increasing 12% to 75%. The process of implementing learning to improve cognitive abilities in children is the activity of playing tree planting is considered successful because the percentage of final success reaches 75%.
