Abstract

Early Childhood is an individual who is going through a process of growth and development that is very rapid, even as a developmental leap. Every child in UNIA has different intelligence. This shows that all children are intrinsically intelligent. The study of children is always interesting so that it raises various views of the true nature of a child. Cognitive development is a period of thinking processes, including remembering, basic critical thinking, starting from children, youth to adults. There are several ways this is done in cognitive development, one of which is by playing. This can help children in the development of intelligence and memory, then thinking about the past, present and future. The use of number cards in the learning process can be said to be a learning medium because it is able to stimulate students to feel happy in the learning process. By playing using number cards, children will be more happy to participate in numeracy lessons by playing as a vehicle for learning and working for children, so that their interest in counting activities will increase in the learning process. Thus, using number cards in the teaching and learning process will help teachers make it easier to understand number by number where there are number cards to students in the Play Group. This research was conducted in KB. Masyithoh IV Jogosari Kec. Pandaan Kab. Pasuruan with 6 students, 3 boys and 3 girls. The data obtained from this study are qualitative data. In general, children can show interest and understanding of learning material, their ability to recognize the concept of numbers is good. So that in the second cycle the percentage of the assessment has increased significantly. In the first cycle it reaches 60% and in the second cycle up to 83% this can be categorized as completing.
