Abstract

Reading  shelves  should  be  used  as  a  place  or  means  of  growing  interest  in  Early  Childhood Education  (AUD)  and  encouraging  children  to  get  used  to  independent  learning.  Seeing  pictures  in  a book  can  function  as  an  educational,  informative,  research  and  recreational  tool.  It's  just  that  teachers don't seem to use the library as a medium of learning or as a source of learning. Teachers have not been able to motivate students to come to the library. There are various roles the teacher can play in order to increase students interest in reading through empowering the library.
