Abstract

Based on 2015 data at Ngeletih Public Health Center, Kediri City, 10 people had early detection of cervical cancer using the IVA method and 1 person was positive (0.55%), in 2016 as many as 6 people were positive 0 and in 2017 there were 15 positive people 2 people ( 1.09%), medical records at Ngeletih Health Center, Kediri City. This type of research is analytic with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were all couples in Puskesmas Ngletih, Kediri City. The sample of the study was age pairs, namely 47 people. The sampling technique was accidental sampling with the analysis test using the chi square test. P = <0.05 or x² table 4.58. The results showed that there was a relationship between maternal knowledge about early detection of cervical cancer with the IVA method and motivation for visual inspection of acetic acid (IVA) at (p value = 0,000, x² count 60,362). There is a relationship between the mother's knowledge about early detection of cervical cancer with the IVA method with the motivation to carry out IVA (Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid) at Ngletih Public Health Center Kediri in 2020. Respondents are expected to do early detection of cervical cancer by doing regular IVA checks so that they can detect risks the early occurrence of cervical cancer.
