ANALISIS HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMP WAHIDIYAH DALAM MEMAHAMI MASALAH BANGUN RUANG

The low learning outcomes in mathematics are due to the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts in mathematics, lack of basic skills, lack of special talents that underlie certain learning, and lack of student motivation. In learning mathematics, many students are still weak in solving problems. This is due to the inaccuracy in calculations and difficulties in making mathematical models related to the real world such as shapes. The learning process carried out by many educators today tends to achieve the target curriculum metrics and is more concerned with memorizing concepts on understanding. This study aims to determine the analysis of student learning outcomes in Wahidiyah Middle School in understanding the problem of building space, with understanding the problem of building space whether it can improve student learning outcomes. The method used in this research is to use a qualitative descriptive research type with pre-test data collection and interviews. The subjects of this study were VIII grade students of SMP Wahidiyah Kediri Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the subject has a lack of understanding in understanding the problem of building space that does not master the concept, this is due to a lack of practice questions. The subject is also still confused in distinguishing the formula for the area of a flat shape, this is because in the given problem he is not memorized enough to remember the shape of the space. So that the subject experiences a lack of understanding to find the surface area of the flat side space and makes the learning outcomes unsatisfactory.
